We deal with a variety of rodents and nuisance animal common to residential and commercial properties in our region:
Adult Gopher

Gophers

Gophers are small burrowing rodents that feed on the roots of many different types of plants and trees. A single gopher can ruin your garden or trees in a very short amount of time. Gophers also gnaw, or chew, and damage water lines, irrigation systems, and in some cases other types of underground utilities. Gopher mounds on lawns interfere or damage lawn mowing equipment, they interfere with outdoor activities, and ruin the aesthetics of well-kept lawn or turfgrass.

Voles

Voles are sometimes called “meadow mice” based on their close resemblance. Voles cut runways through fields, forest, and lawns, feeding on vegetation as they move. These voles prefer succulent roots, grasses, seeds, forbs, and bulbs but they will also readily feed on the bark and roots of woody plants or trees during winter. A single vole can cause significant damage to lawns and gardens. When vole populations are particularly high, they can cause significant economic damage to agricultural crops.
Voles
Moles

Moles

Moles are small mammals, and they are often confused with rodents (Voles or Gophers). These nuisance animals spend most of their lives burrowing underground. Moles mostly feed on invertebrates, however, they often feed on tender roots, bulbs and sprouting seeds. Moles prefer moist and loose soil conditions, and they eventually find their way into property owner’s fields, pastures, lawns and gardens. Moles are active throughout the year and therefore their damage to residential and commercial properties is ongoing.

Squirrels

Squirrels are small, cute and furry little creatures. However, in residential and commercial areas, squirrels sometimes travel powerlines and short out transformers. They gnaw on wires, enter buildings, and build nests in attics. They frequently chew holes through siding and roof eves. In fields, orchards and gardens, squirrels may eat planted seeds, mature fruits and vegetables, or grains such as corn. Squirrels typically damage lawns by burying, or searching for, and digging up nuts. They will chew bark and clip twigs on ornamental trees or shrubbery planted in yards.
Squirrels
Mouse or Mice

Mice

Mice, or the common mouse, are found almost everywhere. They feed on human food, reproduce at a remarkable rate, and shelter in human structures. Mice are known to cause rampant damage to property and food supplies. They can contaminate millions of dollars worth of food in a short amount of time. Mice cause structural damage to buildings, damaging possessions, and causing electrical fires with its constant gnawing and nest-building activities. They can carry diseases such as salmonellosis (food poisoning), rickettsial pox, dermatitis, meningitis, etc.

Rats

Rats consume and contaminate food and animal feed. They damage crops in fields prior to and during harvest. Rats cause structural damage to buildings by burrowing and gnawing. They undermine building foundations and slabs. Rats also may gnaw on electrical wires or water pipes, either in structures or below ground. They gnaw openings through doors, window sills, walls, ceilings, and floors. Rats like to burrow and nest in walls and attics. They carry and transmit diseases such as, murine typhus, leptospirosis, trichinosis, salmonellosis (food poisoning), and ratbite fever.
Rats
Bats

Bats

Bats play a vital role in our ecosystem. Bat droppings, known as guano, can be a health hazard and may harbor histoplasmosis fungi spores, which when inhaled can result in a lung infection. Bats can also cause significant damage to your residence or business. Their droppings create a foul odor, as well as attract other insects and rodents. Bat droppings can also stain and damage surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and roofs. Bats may also scratch and claw at structures to gain access, causing further damage. All of this can lead to costly repairs and decreased property value if left unaddressed.
